Meredith Video Studios is seeking fun, savvy and enthusiastic first-time moms and moms-to-be to document and share their motherhood experiences with other first-time parents. Selected participants will receive a handheld camcorder to record and upload video to the My First Baby website. The video submissions will become part of a special webisode series featured online and on the nationally syndicated lifestyle television show Better. Some participants may also receive baby products courtesy of Graco. Eligible participants must be either a new first-time mom who has given birth or adopted a newborn within the past six months, or a woman expecting her first baby. Interested moms can send an email to callingfirsttimemoms@myfirstbaby.com and include your age, baby’s birth date or due date, location, a photo of yourself, a photo of your baby and a brief bio.

FOX’s American Idol will host its final auditions for the upcoming 10th season in Los Angeles on September 22. The expanded eligibility age range is now 15 to 28 years old for men and women who are also eligible to work in the US. Some restrictions apply; visit americanidol.com for full details. The auditions will be held at The Forum, 3900 West Manchester Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90305. The 10th season of American Idol debuts next January on FOX. World of Wonder Production is casting for a new television series, Honey, I Will Take Over! to air on a major cable network. The series will follow a spouse who takes over the other spouse’s business for a short while to run the enterprise “their way.” The production company is interested in married couples where one is involved in running a family business and the other thinks they can do it better; where the stress of the job is getting to them; and where their lives are totally consumed with the business. The married couples must live and own a business in the Los Angeles area. 3 Ball Productions, behind such reality shows as The Biggest Loser and Beauty and the Geek, is casting women and men aged 20-35 years where the woman is dating two men at the same time and can’t choose between them. This project will allow the woman to explore what a future with each man would be like before making her final choice. 3 Ball Productions is producing a non-airing pilot (subject to change) where scientific profiles will be used to determine what a man will be like in the future. Here is a new twist in product placement, V1 Entertainment Films is auditioning advertisers and sponsors to feature prominently in its new NASCAR-themed television series, The Ride. The series is on tap as a spring 2011 network replacement series. Giancarlo Esposito (AMC’s Breaking Bad) will direct the project and Tony Sommo is penning the script. The Ride is set in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina about a group of drivers, who are friends though they come from different backgrounds.
