Brooke Burke waltzed away with the mirror ball trophy last night on “Dancing With the Stars,” joining Kelly Monaco and Kristi Yamaguchi as the show’s only female winners. The television personality proved herself a most deserving champion. Brandishing camera-friendly looks, natural dancing talent and near flawless technique, the celebrity mom had consistently raked in the highest scores of the season. During last night’s finale, she and partner Derek Hough managed a perfect score for their Viennese waltz, which, combined with a perfect score for her previous night’s freestyle routine, helped cement her Season 7 win. The model-turned-actress may not have been as outrageous as Cloris Leachman, as athletic as Maurice Greene or as compelling as Cody Linley, but she was dependably precise and elegant in a competition that placed a high premium on style and substance.
