Casting Call
Wednesday, March 31st, 2010Executive producers for FOX’s musical series Glee are hosting national casting calls, searching for young talented performers to fill new roles during the show’s second season. Starting yesterday, amateur and professional performers, age 16 to 26, are invited to submit five-minute audition videos via MySpace at myspace.com/gleeauditions. The deadline to submit videos is April 26, 2010. The submitted videos must include a one-minute explanation why the participant wants to be on the show and a 4-minute demonstration of their singing ability by performing one of Glee’s hits such as True Colors, You Can’t Always Get What You Want and Lean on Me. The singer must sing a cappella or with a single instrument accompaniment via MySpace Karaoke or by uploading their own pre-recorded videos

The selected candidates must be willing to share and document their preparations for the baby and the first months of being a new mother. Chosen participants will receive a small hand-held camcorder to record and upload video footage which will be part of a special year-long webisode series and shown nationally on a lifestyle television show.
